Psychology of Entrepreneurship

Mar 13, 2020

Drive is the biggest contributor to high performance. Driven people are continuously seeking new heights, and understand what is truly possible. That's what fuels them to reach higher and go for gold. But, does being driven mean that you naturally have more success?

This is The Psychology of Entrepreneurship,

a highly produced audio documentary style, revealing series that follows Ronsley Vaz and his guests, as they strive to go inside & unravel the inner workings of the mind of an entrepreneur, artist, athlete, academic; to decipher what is the psychology of our decisions.

If you are an entrepreneur (BTW we consider that mothers are the original entrepreneurs) and would like to understand why we do certain things in certain situations, and if small changes in thinking can deliver massive amounts of results in success and happiness, then this podcast is for you.

Peri Bostock is “The Fanatic.”

Peri is what you would call a ‘go-getter,’ the kind of person you come across that has just pure fire in their belly to succeed.  She is, of course, an athletic champion, the ex-Australian table tennis Athlete to be precise.

In her nearly 20 year long career, Peri competed in 3 Commonwealth Games. She won 2 Commonwealth Games silver medals from the Women’s Teams Event, and spent 13 years out of her 19-year career in the Australian Women’s Team.

By her own admission, she takes great pride in her athletic achievements. She has won countless trophies and medals, which now line the drawers and glass cabinets throughout her house.

Peri has worked alongside the Queensland Olympic Committee & Queensland Commonwealth Games Association, where she presented motivational speeches at schools and events.

During her athletic career, Peri completed a Business degree majoring in Professional Accountancy. She also worked for the accounting firm Ham Brothers Pty Ltd for 10 years from 2004 to 2014.

Since giving birth to her daughter in 2014, Peri took a step back from table tennis and embraced the role of Manager at the Bostock Institute.

In this volume of Psychology of Entrepreneurship, we’re going into the mind of a supercharged, highly driven internationally recognised athlete. Peri talks about the importance of proactive visualisation to help reach your goals, and how a ‘rest and refresh day’ is just the ticket to achieving higher performance.
