Psychology of Entrepreneurship

Oct 10, 2019

Entrepreneurs are often considered ‘driven’ or ‘motivated,’ but what most people don’t realise is that it’s a form of ‘hyper-focus.’ It’s the charge that consistently sends us jolting from one thought or activity to another, without ever actually feeling completely satisfied with the outcomes.

Welcome to The Psychology of Entrepreneurship, a candid and revealing series that follows Ronsley Vaz and his guests, as they strive to unravel the inner workings of the entrepreneurial mind and explain why even the most successful among us experience Imposter Syndrome.

If you are someone who is holding back, feeling unworthy of your success or questioning your competency as a professional, this podcast is for you.

Dr Doug Brackmann isn’t your average psychologist. Doug’s past saw him contend with homelessness and addiction, but through it all, he eventually developed a passion for psychology. This drive spurred him to complete two Phds. in Clinical Psychology & Organizational Business Psychology.

For the past 15 years, he has been a mentor to some of the most driven people on the planet, guiding them through overcoming their limiting beliefs, halting their cycle of shame, and allowing them to reach their ultimate personal and professional success. His methods incorporate meditation with long-range shooting, the latest techniques in biohacking and HRV analysis, on-site workshops and mentorship programs.

In this volume of Psychology of Entrepreneurship, Ronsley explores with Doug the mind’s reaction to fear and how we can rewire our brains to contend with traumatic thoughts. Doug explains the elephant and monkey mind theory and how we can step in and out of both modes. They also focus on why a majority of entrepreneurs don’t acknowledge or feel the rewards of success.

  • Your intuition and honing this unique sense
