Psychology of Entrepreneurship

Jul 3, 2020

What kind of relationship do you have with your brain? After all, it is your forever roommate. Entrepreneurs are renowned for becoming stuck inside their heads, for better or for worse. Sometimes, just a simple switch in how you think can not only change how you view yourself, but also the way you perform.

This is The Psychology of Entrepreneurship,

a highly produced audio documentary style, revealing series that follows Ronsley Vaz and his guests, as they strive to go inside & unravel the inner workings of the mind of an entrepreneur, artist, athlete, academic; to decipher what is the psychology of our decisions.

If you are an entrepreneur (BTW we consider that mothers are the original entrepreneurs) and would like to understand why we do certain things in certain situations, and if small changes in thinking can deliver massive amounts of results in success and happiness, then this podcast is for you.

In this exclusive volume of The Psychology of Entrepreneurship, we’re reanalysing Ronsley’s conversation with Alda Karen from Volume 03. We’ve woven in excerpts of newer volumes to get a broader picture on the common thought patterns and behaviours between entrepreneurs.

Alda has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. At the age of 13, she received her first sponsorship. By 19, she was a VP of sales and marketing at Sagafilm, the most prominent film production company in Iceland. Safafilm is known for creating blockbuster hits like Star Trek: Into Darkness and Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar.

As her notoriety grew, she began lecturing about sales and marketing, which led to her becoming the Founder and CEO of AK Consulting. Before she knew it, she was consulting thousands of entrepreneurs about mental health, mindset and habit building within business and life, and hosted four sold-out masterclasses.

Now she lives in New York where she runs a consulting firm and a company that specialises in virtual reality solutions for mental health.

In this volume, Ronsley and Alda go deep into the relationships we have with our brains and bring a unique perspective on the questions we should be asking ourselves. She explores how she learned to recognise incredibly unhealthy thought patterns and why time means nothing when it comes to delivering on your dreams.
