Psychology of Entrepreneurship

Feb 21, 2020

Creating a life that is enriching, fulfilling and truly matters, you have to start with you. We are currently living in a culture that is dominated by the mind, using success, money and work as a way to avoid listening to our intuition. Now more than ever, we must take a step out of our own minds and take direction from our hearts.

Welcome to The Psychology of Entrepreneurship, a candid and revealing series that follows Ronsley Vaz and his guests, as they strive to unravel the inner workings of the entrepreneurial mind and explain why even the most successful among us experience Imposter Syndrome.

If you are someone who is holding back, feeling unworthy of your success or questioning your competency as a professional, this podcast is for you.

In this Addendum, Ronsley is returning to his poignant conversation with Philip McKernan. Philip is an entrepreneurial phenomenon; this is why it is so hard to categorise what he does exactly. In a nutshell, Philip helps people get clear on who they are and where they need to go. He is an inspirational speaker, philosopher, author, filmmaker- and one hell of a human being.

Philip travels around the world speaking about the importance of gaining greater clarity, overcoming personal obstacles, and creating deeper confidence to believe in yourself. While he has shared the stage with some of the world's elite like Stephen Covey, Richard Branson, and the Dalai Lama (!!), it's the live personal leadership experiences that seem to create the biggest waves.

In 2012, Philip founded One Last Talk, a live speaking platform that helps ordinary people tell their extraordinary stories. Despite Philip's dyslexia, he's successfully written five books. He's travelled to 80 countries around the globe, built an orphanage in Peru, and even created his first documentary film called Give & Grow.

In this Addendum, we're going back to the unabridged conversation between Ronsley and Philip. The interview is deeper than ever and answers some of the bigger questions we all have when it comes to creating an authentic life for ourselves. Together they explore the difference in intellectualising something vs emotionally feeling things while shedding some light on what it really means to go back and examine our past as a means to move forward.

Also featured in this Addendum:

  • The two-day aftermath of Brave Mind
  • Why some people are beyond Philip's help
  • Any answer you're after, go back into your past
  • Why entrepreneurs have the worst heroes
  • The reason why Philip suffers so much judgement from the world
  • The place Philip experiences the most love
  • How you can free the landscape within you to become available to the good things in life
